It's no secret that the SL Marketplace's search features leave much to be desired when looking for... Well, anything really. As I learn about the importance of smart search systems and user tagging as a librarian, this point is just proven to me further. Booleans can only do so much...
This curated list aims to remedy the issue of searching for those looking for EGL and lolita fashion. It's a collection of brands I can personally vouch for having at least a few items that would be a great addition to any doll's wardrobe. Other adjacent styles have alsos been noted if they are prominent. I've included notes pointing out details unique to the shop or items therein, as well as what styles I believe each store would be suited towards. My favorite items have been highlighted for your convenience.
Demo-ing is a must!

Although this list doesn't focus on hair and head accessories, I recommend the following for cute hairstyles in general, many of which come with headbows and hairclips:
Limerence
[^.^Ayashi^.^]
Kururu
bonbon
VCO
DOUX
Now, without further ado, here is my list of EGL & lolita-friendly Second Life shops:
Rosier
Favorite items: Blanc Dress, Lilith Dress, Chloe Nightgown, Madame Dress, Madeline Maid Dress, Ichigo Pajama, Itabag, Fran Fur Hood, Hoshino Uniform
Suggested styles: Gothic, Jirai Kei, Sweet, Maid, Cosplay, Ouji
Likely THEE premier store for lolita and EGL fashion in SL right now. Rosier is a massive store full of modifiable (ie. tintable) outfits, components, and accessories. Most of the pieces only have a flat-chested fit, so please keep that in mind. They also have many EGL pieces for men! If you're looking to wear lolita fashion in SL, this is one of the first stores you must check out.
Insomnia Angel (konpeitou)
Favorite items: Mia Dress, Scarlet Long Skirt, Secret Flavor Bloomers, Witch Wand Umbrella, Margot Princess Rosary
Suggested styles: Gothic, Classic, Sweet, Wa
The other heavy hitter in EGL fashion on SL. Used to sell things under the name 'konpeitou' with a sweeter style for petite bodies, now mainly sells gothic stuff for curvier bodies. Still, there are plenty of modifiable options to mix and match, many of which look just like real lolita pieces.
Bare Rose
Favorite items: Momona Set, Aidoll Set
Suggested styles: Old School, Gothic, Sweet, Classic, Cosplay
Possibly the largest store in Second Life; I'm not kidding, this place is like a religious pilgrimage to visit. A number of lolita-type pieces are here in a flat and full-chested form, and you can mix and match them... As long as you can navigate the place (I recommend you use Area Search). Plus, standing there for a while wins you free stuff!
fuayu
Favorite items: Ceddie Outfit, Camila Dress
Suggested styles: Sweet, Gothic, Classic, Ouji, Wa
A cute little shop, the creator rigs outfits to bodies as they please. Nevertheless, there are plenty of cute, affordable lolita outfits and accessories for your wardrobe for any body. Lots of stuff for guys too!
*: Lis :*
Favorite items: Basic Ruffle Shirt & Bow, English Flower Garden Skirt
Suggested styles: Sweet, Classic, Gothic
Even though these outfits come from an older era of mesh bodies, they are cute, affordable, and very easy to style with. A hidden gem!
G Field
Favorite items: Marie Rococo Dress, Sailor Girl Dress, Sweet Blouse, Sailor Suit, Becky Square Flats
Suggested styles: Sweet
Plenty of princess and casual dresses can be found here, alongside a few lolita pieces! I wish more people knew about this shop. Don't forget to check the shoes, they're flat and realistically styled.
+ infirmary + (DIZZY)
Favorite items: Frilly Lolita Sleeves, Chunky Janes
Suggested styles: Any
This store is run by my friend and neighbor, Rem! Please check out these meticulously crafted accessories, I've used them for a lot of outfits.
*Edelweiss*
Favorite items: Fleur Set, Irie Set, Charlotte Set, Celine Set, Elsie Set
Suggested styles: Old School, Gothic, Sweet, Punk, Maid, Cosplay
If you're trying to see what SL's lolita scene was like prior to a lot of rigged mesh, this is the store for you. I love making truly old school looks with things from here! The mesh items they sell are mainly uniforms, and are really cute and customizable too.
*EXIA*
Favorite items: Marietta Dress, Quinn Dress, Rachel Coat, Natasha Pannier & Drawers
Suggested styles: Classic, Sweet, Wa
A store specializing in all sorts of frilly things and kimono. Has a few wedding dresses as well, plus some useful shoes and accessories.
Mikunch
Favorite items: Hello Lolita Set, Girls Parade Set, Girl of Alps Set
Suggested styles: Sweet, Old School
One of the fallen titans of lolita fashion on SL; Mikunch used to have a mainstore, but the creator has retired because of poor health. You can still find resells of their gachas on the MP, although the price is quite high. Well worth it, if you ask me.
Cureless
Favorite items: Kirara Shoes
Suggested styles: Gothic, Guro
While this brand has a focus primarily on guro and gothic material in general, they have a few pieces that fit into wider lolita fashion. Worth checking out if you like intricate mesh.
Toksik
Favorite items: Capriccio Dress, Darlene Dress, Gilded Dress, Enamor Cape, Sweet Time Capelet, Sweetish Heels & Tights
Suggested styles: Gothic, Classic, Ouji
This big store typically sells full-on ballgowns, but has a wide collection of great stuff to accessorize with, like capes and jewelry. They have a lot of great options for ouji, both for flat-chested bodies and male bodies. Many of their pieces are modifiable as well, to mix and match with other brands.
Violent Seduction
Favorite items: Eruda Dress, Comtesse Dress, Cordata Dress, Tainaron Stockings, Psyche Stockings
Suggested styles: Gothic, Jirai Kei, Cosplay
Great gothic options, along with a lot of textures to choose from for each. The creator recently started selling clothing in real life, which I've never seen before!
BEARCAT.EGG
Favorite items: Priscilla Dress, Alice Dress
Suggested styles: Classic, Gothic, Mori Kei
Relatively new store with a lot of cute outfits. They also have some equally cute stuff in styles like Mori Kei, so check it out.
***Ambrosia***
Favorite items: Layered_Style2 Dress, Mary Dress, Christine Dress
Suggested styles: Sweet, Classic, Wa, Cosplay, Larme Kei
Little-known store that has been making mesh on SL for a number of years. Very carefully crafted dresses and outfits that would also be suitable for everyday mix and matching!
:uzu:
Favorite items: Heart Apron Dress, Ruru Coat, Berry Blossom RARE 3 Dress, Lilith Lace Hat
Suggested styles: Sweet, Country, Jirai Kei
A very cute store that used to sell things primarily through gacha. Their older stuff is lacey and nostalgic, and their newer stuff is a bit more risque.
spectacledchic
Favorite items: Elizabeth Dress, Yu Dress, Dori Nightgown
Suggested styles: Classic, Qi, Mori Kei, Cosplay
One of the best brands on SL for finding realistic and cozy wardrobe staples, that also happen to have a few EGL pieces. This store also sells various hanfu items, and a few cosplays.
hitogata
Favorite items: Nekomusume Dress
Suggested styles: Punk
Everything at hitogata is free, they're a hidden gem! The trade off is that this shop just shares what they want, so things may be hard to coord, but they're absolutely worth checking out. Lots of casual clothes here too.
Melon Bunny
Favorite items: Winter Doll Coat, Ballerina Tower Shoes
Suggested styles: Sweet, Classic, Country
A little-known store that used to have a larger mainstore, but most of those items are now on MP. They have a number of cupcake-shaped outfits and some fantastic shoes, although they are older so they are a little tricky to get set up.
Belle Epoque
Favorite items: Evangeline Set
Suggested styles: Gothic, Classic
Belle Epoque sells a big variety of clothing, typically that could be described as statement pieces, like gowns. Some of their stuff is historical or bridal, and a lot of it works for more mature, elegant outfits.
parfait.
Favorite items: Magic Academy Outfit, Annabelle Dress, Lolita Heels & Socks
Suggested styles: Sweet, Ouji, Jirai Kei
Sister shop to HIME*DREAM. The recent renovations mean that most of their cute/lolita pieces are on MP only for the time being. They make a lot more casual clothes now.
ALTAIR*
Favorite items: Khione Winter Coat, Constellations Dress, Strawberry Dress (Group Gift)
Suggested styles: Sweet, Gothic, Cosplay, Jirai Kei
Primarily a cosplay shop with some EGL pieces. Cosplays for PASWG, Umineko, Madoka, Nekopara, Nier, and many more can be found here. The creator is really nice!
cheezu
Favorite items: Riko Mary Janes, Heart Eyepatch
Suggested styles: Sweet, Maid
Cheezu primarily makes casual fashion, but has a number of shoes and accesories that would work for EGL. Some maid dresses too, all very well meshed and rigged.
=Zenith=
Favorite items: Summer Flower Crown, Gothic Victorian Long Dress
Suggested styles: Sweet, Country
Been around since 2007, one of the first lolita-specific shops on SL. Many of their EGL releases were only sold as gacha, and might be found on the resale market. PLEASE demo if you can, because a number of their pieces do not have rigged arms.
HPMK
Favorite items: Mary Jane Heels
Suggested styles: Sweet
A small marketplace storefront with some shoes and an itabag that is great for lolita, especially if you prefer a cartoon-y style!
Sweet Thing
Favorite items: Shooting Star Scarf, Lace Cuffs
Suggested styles: Sweet, Gothic
Staple of cute fashion in SL. Their accessories are a classic, and they have a number of great options for fuzzy kemonomimi parts as well.
This list may be updated periodically as I add more shops to peruse. But for now, enjoy!
